DOES THE ENTIRE MEDIA FOLLOW THE SAME SCRIPT?

Uh, excuse me but why is everyone in the media so excited about this upcoming Osama bin Ladin "video" and the accompanying al Qaeda-provided still photo of an apparantly hale and hearty-look bin Ladin?

I've heard comments on the news about how wonderful he looks now, and suggestions that he is perhaps dying his previously gray-streaked beard black. .

Has anyone even considered that this picture might be one of a younger bin Ladin, or one that has been computer-enhanced, or that it is even an impersonater?

Could this be another al Qaeda version of the old GI Joe doll trick? Remember that one?

I guess the news people are so excited at the possibility of seeing and hearing from one of their favorite Bush-haters that they're not thinking straight. Of course, when do they ever? Politicians and the media are so trusting and gullible when hearing the words of an enemy who murdered three thousand people in a couple of hours, but remarkably skeptical when it comes to trusting the report from the commander of the Iraq War when it hasn't even been released yet. They're already telling everyone why not to believe it. Oh, that's right. I forgot they have an agenda. ;-)

EDIT - Here is a transcript from an audiotape of the Bin Laden message. I have comments to make on it, maybe later, but you are certainly free to read it and draw your own conclusions before the politicians, bloggers, media, and talking heads tell you what you're supposed to think. The entire media seem to be reassuring their viewers there is no overt threat on Americans. Hhmmmm.

To me, it sounds like something some stoned high school blogger might put together. The "speech" is certainly not comparable to the words of this man as I've read them. Maybe bin Laden gets all his news through CNN, moveon.org, and daily kos. You decide for now:

I hope you take the time to ponder on all this, but maybe you'd prefer not to worry until you absolutely have to. It's up to you.

At least the tape is letting the media ignore the Democrat fundraising scandal involving Norman Hsu. What is it about the Clintons and the Chinese anyway. More on that later.

That's one of my favorite icons. *lol* You are so clever!

I'll guess we'll have a better idea when it's released. I'm betting it won't be crystal clear that it is new, but we'll just have to see.
