BY NOW YOU KNOW I LOVE TO COOK, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES I'VE RESORTED TO DRASTIC MEANS

While talking to a friend, I remembered a site I'd saved once with the intention of writing a post about quick recipes and desperate eating habits.

Here is the site:

http://home.hawaii.rr.com/ramstar/ramrecipes.html

Look familiar to anyone?

Would you like to guess how many of these "recipes" I've actually indulged in in my long gastronomical past? (There is one I've not followed exactly but I've had variations.)
And what about you? Have you ever resorted to these quick recipes, or any other interesting instant meals you'd like to confess to? I'm sure everyone gets desperate once in a while.

Oh, and does anyone actually eat stuff like this on a regular basis as part of their regular diet? Don't be embarrassed. Some are quiet tasty.

She don't cook mashed potatoes,
She don't cook T-bone steaks,
Don't feed me peanut butter,
She knows that I can't take.

(waving hand for peanut butter and banana on toast--although not Skippy)

A childhood friend of mine used to make Doritos sandwiches. American cheese, choice of spread, and original flavor Doritos on white bread or Kaiser roll.

my best friend Darren and I would usually put out chips (usually doritos) on our sandwiches at school. It was soooo good!! :D

Oh, sure. I've done that too. I especially liked thin potato chips on ham and cheese sandwiches.

when my mom made her famous spaghetti sauce she started cooking it in the morning when she got up and when I came home from school I would be starving so I would have a piece of bread and put spaghetti sauce on it for a sandwich. she made the best sauce ever.

Ummmmmm ... throw some meatballs and cheese on that and we have a feast.

I'm assuming she made it from scratch. I love home-made spaghetti sauce, almost never make it anymore. I should.
