'LISTEN YOU HOCKEY PUCK! THE DATA MAY BE FAKE,
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN OUR CONCLUSIONS ARE WRONG!'

Looks more and more like I was on the money again last March 23 when I said:

"Voila! No medieval heating or “little ice age” cooling. He ("researcher" Dr. Michael Mann) then switched from “tree ring” interpretations of temperatures and spliced surface temperature records (red) from the 20th century … mixing apples and oranges, if you want to get technical ... Makes you wonder if you're seeing what's really supposed to be there. I wonder if the "mean" temperature that is used as a baseline has any validity at all? Maybe there's some kind of explanation of why he would do that ... I wonder.

It seems a group of mathematicians were recently commissioned by the House Energy Committee to study the so called "Hocky-stick" graph and the methodology that produced it and is used to support the argument that we have been undergoing unprecedented man-made global warming over the last decade or so.

They worked pro bono and have pretty much confirmed what I and many many other people have been saying all along about the models that show this rapid rise in warming. It's junk science with serious flaws in the methodology and the debate is not over. Read it and weep, true believers:

Of course this is not the final word. That will never be a reality until Hell freezes over. It does add fuel to the fire however, and puts the IPCC on the proverbial hot seat. They already modified the graph once, as I mentioned in my March 23, 2007 post, smoothing out the Medieval Warming period and Little Ice Age.

Unfortunately, Al Gore in unavailable for comment. He will only appear for a sizable fee (he charges thousands of dollars to merely shake his hand and say hello) and doesn't take questions.

Thank God someone is looking critically at this science. Thank you Edward. J. Wegman, David W. Scott, and Yasmin H. Said for your input. Now if only the media would tell people the good news.

Oh, and if you still believe the "polar bears are dying" hoax, here's yet another bit of evidence to the contrary:

The truth of any accusation is based, not on its veracity, but on the seriousness of the charge." - The Liberal Media (paraphrased)

That reminds me. One of the first books on politics and social/political/religious movements was the classic, The True Believer by Eric Hoffer. I'd recommend you read it if you haven't ... any page or two will suffice actually. It might open your eyes.
