DEMOCRAT SEN. CHRIS DODD ADMITS HE LIED ABOUT 'CLARIFIES' AIG BONUS AMENDMENT

Two days ago I wrote about how the Democrats, and especially Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Connecticut, were not only aware of the AIG “bonuses” but that Dodd himself had inserted a clause into the $787 billion Stimulus bill that protected those bonuses.

Well, yesterday, Sen. Dodd DENIED to CNN that it was he who inserted the amendment which, in part, said:

The prohibition required under clause (i) shall not be construed to prohibit any bonus payment required to be paid pursuant to a written employment contract executed on or before February 11, 2009, as such valid employment contracts are determined by the Secretary or the designee of the Secretary.

Today, however, Dodd admitted that he was indeed responsible for the amendment … which makes his feigned outrage all the more disgusting to behold.

Notice that the word “Democrat” is nowhere to be found in the CNN article?

And the Democrats denied the Republicans any input into these bailouts and Stimulus bills, remember? It's totally on them.

Come on! People like Dodd, Frank, Pelosi, Geithner, etc. should be put under oath to explain what they knew and when they knew it.

Of course, that's not going to happen. The Democrats are in charge.

There's still the Court of Public Opinion, if someone will report the truth for a change.

Maybe Jay Leno will ask the President about this tomorrow night. ;-)

Still want to defend these people folks?

brilliant points. the missing democratic-party-affiliation-upon-bad-news pattern has been regularly noted by melvin_udall and myself.

My liberal friends have denied this reality for years. I began noticing this pattern when I was in graduate schools many years ago.

Google Sarah Palin and the Associated Press if you haven't noticed before. Virtually EVERY headline involving Gov. Palin last year was a negative one.

Newspapers are nototious for printing colorful, patriotic, inspiring pictures of Democrats while publishing dark, static, unflattering ones of Republicans.

It's so obvious it's silly to debate otherwise.
