Three in the corner pockets

***

I TOLD YOU THERE'D BE DAYS LIKE THIS

Ho, hum ... another beautiful day topside!

I'm almost out of the 2 X 6's I salvaged after Katrina but I have now put up three of the four corner rafters over my guest room. Off the top of my head I think I've put up fifteen out of the approximately fifty rafters I will need. Pretty soon I will have to buy more lumber and that will probably be easier to work with.

Here are a couple of shots showing where I am as of Friday evening:

The Northern Side is almost completed

GETTING BORED YET?

The third corner rafter I put in today

Well, that's about it for now. Time to get cleaned up and have a bite to eat. If I can get the front rafters finished over the next few days, I may be able to put up some of the sheathing and tar paper so that it will start to look more like a real roof.

Hopefully I can find something to brighten you up with comments in your own journals. I know you all like to encourage me and say how cool this all is but I know it's a slow and tedious process. I do appreciate your kind words, at least the kind words some of you send my way. **LOL** Just kidding!

Bonsoir mes amis!

Wow! You must be exhauseted. I tried uprooting a stump yesterday and conceeded defeat - although it is moving now.

And, in answer to yesterday's question - a hoagie.

First time I've ever known you to be stumped. Those are back-breakers, to be sure. I had to uproot a couple of these huge Cacti for a friend a few weeks ago, and it was a job. The roots weren't that deep, but it was so hard trying to get a grip on the things. It was like a million razor edges from top to bottom. She was like, "Pull on it!" **LOL** Right!

Oh my, lol! I can see you doing that for a friend. Crap. I assume you got the job done? Mr. Ed said he'd take care of the stump, however I'll probably have a go at it tomorrow when Mr. Ed is in Macon and my eldest is camping. That way, I won't have my eldest giving me directions. Christ Almighty!!! He's nine going on forty. *g* It will be quieter without him; and, my youngest will be able to help without getting in the way. So, the stump may be cleared tomorrow. Or else, my back might be wrecked for the day. We'll see. :)

That did give me a little lift ... as I'm sure it did you. Yes, I'm really toying with the idea of doing the food thing again. The cool thing is that my creations are edible.
