how many tears are raining over scotland?

***
WELL, IT WAS JUST AS WE SUSPECTED ... OBAMA WAS NOT REALLY "SURPRISED, DISAPPOINTED, AND ANGRY" AT THE RELEASE OF THE LOCKERBIE BOMBER

You remember ... the mastermind of the murder of 270 innocent men, women and children over Lockerbie Scotland in the days before Christmas of 1988?

He was released last year for "humanitarian" reasons since he had cancer and supposedly weeks to live.

Except now it has been learned that, like Twain's demise, reports of his imminent death were premature.

How the Obama administration howled!

The first clue that there was more to their involvement than admitted to was their request all communications between the U.S. and Scotland be kept secret.

And then their was the curious oil deal with Libya that was signed almost simultaneously with the release of "the dying" terrorist Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi - who today remains a national hero in Libya.

Well surprise, surprise, surprise, the British press broke the story of a secret memo that was leaked indicating Obama, while not publicly happy about the release, approved of the release (inside Scotland) on "compassionate grounds" rather than an unseemly prisoner transfer to Libya.

The Secret Memo Obama Didn't Want Released

Of course there were many of us who suspected that Obama signed off on it from the beginning, that he was involved in the release despite claims the decision was made entirely on the authority of the Scottish government.

Many Felt From the Beginning Obama Signed Off on Lockerbie Bombing Release

Two hundred happy vibrant people cruelly killed at one of the happiest times of the year.

How many of their family and friends still suffer, now even more so as the killer lives another day ... revered in his country as a hero.

How much shame will this administration subject us too? How many lies and deceits?

Tears over Scotland. Tears over America.

Let's see how the Obama-media spin this one.

Obama and Blair have betrayed their own peoples, to appease a monster.

As Lord Action noted, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

Maybe not "bad men" inherently, but men who believe they know better than the rest of us and make decisions they rationalize as being for the general good.

Note how Obama suggested al-Megrahi be released into the general population of Scotland!

How ludicrous is that?

If Obama wanted to influence the release, he could have. He didn't, and using this lame excuse doesn't pass the smell test.

Well, if he was admitted into the "general population" of Lockerbie, with the townsfolk alerted well in advance and told that the police would not interfere in whatever happened, the outcome would have been better. But it is never wise to rely on lynching as a policy instrument.

Oh, I'm sure had the Scottish government actually taken up Obama on this "suggestion" the U.S. taxpayer would be on the hook for hundreds of millions of dollars every year to house, protect, and treat al-Megrahi with the best medical care available to members of Congress.

The delicious part of thise revelation is that it probably would not have gone public had not the Democrats insisted on investigating BP and the Libyan oil deal from last August.

I can't wait to see what the media report on this ... if anything.
