One of those questionaires

Requested by my charmingly persistent friend japanesedream, here's a little questionnire. I usually don't care to put such things up myself because I hate to have people feel obligated to say nice things about me (although I don't mind saying nice things about you). **LOL** However, if you'd like a break from the record of my toils down here in the hot and humid Louisiana sunshine, please have at it. There are a few things there that would be interesting to me. Oh, and I added a couple of questions myself because that's just the way I am. :)

1. name:
2. birthday:
3. place of residence:
4. what makes you happy:
5. what are you listening to now/have listened to last:
6. do you read my lj:
7. if you do, what is particularly good/bad about it:
8. an interesting fact about you:
9. are you in love/have a crush at the moment:
10. favorite place to be:
11. favorite lyric:
12. best time of the year:
13. Do you remember when we met?
14. Have I been a good friend to you?
15. Tell me something you've never told me before.
16. What would you enjoy doing together (with me) if we had an afternoon to spend and (a)$150 (b)$10?
17. If you could go back in time, would you like to tell someone still living something you wish you had?

PLUS
18. one thing you like about me:
19. two things you like about yourself:
20. put this in your lj so i can tell you what i think of you.

BONUS
21. Who's Slim Whitman?

Well, I'm off to ... oh, you know where I'm going. Have a good day and stay cool.

Re: pooey I can't think right now
I forgot my favorite lyric... I have way too many favorites and heck I'll post the whole song. LOL
(Close to Me, The Cure)
I've waited hours for this
I've made myself so sick
I wish I'd stayed asleep today
I never thought that this day would end
I never thought that tonight could ever be
This close to me
Just try to see in the dark
Just try to make it work
To feel the fear before you're here
I make the shapes come much too close
I pull my eyes out
Hold my breath
And wait until I shake
But if I had your faith
Then I could make it safe and clean
If only I was sure
That my head on the door was a dream
I've waited hours for this
I've made myself so sick
I wish I'd stayed asleep today
I never thought that this day would end
I never thought that tonight could ever be
This close to me
But if I had your face
I could make it safe and clean
If only I was sure
That my head on the door
Was a dream

Re: pooey I can't think right now
8. That is so interesting. One of my favorite cases is the Starkweather/Fugate case from the late 50's. The movie Badlands was based on the case. The movie is riveting and I read books about both Charlie and Caril. She was only 14 and about 5 foot nothing.

11. What do those lyrics mean to you (if you have the time to respond).

13. Are you sure you didn't say, "Who the hell is this...?" **LOL**

21. Slim Whitman was a country/western/yodeling singer from the 40's until today. He must be in his 80's now. Did you see Mars Attacks and Raising Arizona? You may know him from there. **LOL**

Re: pooey I can't think right now
mmmm.. I'm eating pb and j on an english muffin. :) I wasn't on here much yesterday. Work was busy and my computer at home needs a new power strip. The Cure, The Smiths and Depeche Mode were my first favorite "alternative" groups when I was 14/15 yrs old and I just love so many of The Cures songs. Reminds me of when I was young. LOL
as for #13 I didn't say "WTF... who the hell?" LOL I was happy to see a new commenter! Turns out your one of my best friends on here now!
Hanna is jumping all over. I think she likes PB and J!!

4. Now, I'd have thought you'd say chocolate. So ... do you like your dogs Chicago style, or are you referring to man's best friend? I know ... AWWWWW!

Thanks for doing the Q-thing, Mike.

5. I never got a chance to see Zevon live but my niece mentioned that she and her husband did at The House of Blues here a few years ago. I remember when they got tickets (I was working nights) and they said it was a fantastic show. One of the bands at the Mandeville Seafood Fest opened for him.

7. It's nice to have someone with similar thought processes. You don't have to agree on everything, just see the rationale behind what they say. I don't care too much for people who are so mushy in their thoughts they don't believe in anything. I think you can be totally convinced you're right about something and yet not necessarily dismiss someone because they think differently. I try to think I am open to new information as well.

8. There's probably a lot of comfort and stimulation up there.

14. Sounds good except I think I do best in an active environment ... you know, carrying on doing normal things. That's why I was always a terrible date with women but irresistible when they just kinda got to know me. **LOL**

15. It might change forever again ... believe me.

21. I should find some Slim Whitman cd's. I don't know why he popped into my head. I wanted to add an odd but interesting question and there he was. My brain kind of works like that all the time.

"8 There's probably a lot of comfort and stimulation up there."

Often, but not always... I am a rather hard on myself sometimes. Ok much of the time. It has led some people to think I am a bit spacey as I wander off into a dark corner of my mind to brood over something.

15 - I'm sure it will... already has several times. I'm not complaining. change can be good. Ian sure changed my thinking... I am sure Hanna will do the same...

21 - Odd things pop into my head ALL the time. I usually let it run with it... unless I am wih a client, then it could get a bit, well, confusing...

Cheers Ed

13. Do you remember when we met? Every time I listen to that song. ^_^
14. Have I been a good friend to you? Very much so.

Thanks for taking the time to do this for me Marlene. What am I saying? You're the one who started it! **LOL**

3. My sister lived in NJ awhile when her husband was in the military. She said it was a pretty state but didn't make many friends and was stuck home a lot.

4. My wish is you get all the happiness you can stand.

7. Uhh ... I .. well, gosh Marlene, that's ... well, you know! **LOL** Thank God you can't hear me speak.

8. So I like women who are a little pushy. ROFL

9. Okay ... here are lyrics to the first popular Japanese song I ever heard (translated). I'll bet you a chili dog you know what it is:

It's all because of you,
I'm feeling sad and blue
You went away,
Now my life is just a rainy day and I love you so,
How much you'll never know
You've gone away and left me lonely.

13. We'll forever be tied together by that song ... no matter what. **LOL** I almost never do that, btw. It's just that I had the file and thought you might get a kick out of it. I never imagined how much you were in to everything you're into. Most people would just have skipped the link. I'm glad you didn't.

17. What I was really getting at but I was too groggy to state it clearly was saying something that would have been very cool or cutting or appropriate at a certain moment but you went brain dead or got tongue-tied. Maybe I'll rephrase that question and put it up again. I probably have a million of them, but I'm sure I'll be hard-pressed to think of them. I can think of a few now though.

18. That's me ... a total Boy Scout! Doesn't anyone think I'm reckless and daring and sexy? ***LOL*** I'M KIDDING!!! Kinda. No, thanks ... really.

21. You are too smart and eclectic for me, girl. Well done!
