Did you ever have a parent, in-law, brother, friend, whatever offer to help you in some endeavor, project, or investment and then try to run your life and tell you what to do because now you are indebted to them and have allowed them to creep into your personal life? You can’t get rid of them, can you?

That’s what you're in for with the socialistic/entitlement mentality that is creeping into the American psyche these days. The liberal/progressive/fascists are setting you up with their redistribution of the wealth and freebies for the downtrodden. Be careful what you ask for and don’t complain later when your government stipend is only good for government-approved goods and services.

From the “Do as I say, not as I do” files: Nancy Pelosi has been very testy lately about the historically low approval ratings of her Democrat-controlled Congress and inability to get anything done. When asked by an interviewer if there was anything she regretted or any mistakes that she'd made she glared and said "no". Remind you of anything? *lol* She did lash out at the kook-fringe left and their unhappiness with her failure to end the war in Iraq and is apparently taking notice of Hillary's wiggling toward the center as she tries to disguise her own radical/leftist inclinations.

Oh, Rep. Pelosi, it’s very simple. If you want to end the war, you just don’t authorize any more spending. But you don’t want to do that, do you? You just want to make the President cut and run so you can criticize him and reap some political hay. Coward!

Here's a great Pelosi quote concerning her former supporters in the anti-war left she's catered to and used for so long:

I had, for five months, people sitting outside my home, going into my garden in San Francisco, angering neighbors, hanging their clothes from trees, building all kinds of things -- Buddhas? I don't know what they were -- couches, sofas, chairs, permanent living facilities on my front sidewalk.

If they were poor and they were sleeping on my sidewalk, they would be arrested for loitering, but because they have 'Impeach Bush' across their chest, it's the First Amendment.

Having a bad couple of weeks, Nancy, are we? Now you know what the Bush family went through when the unfortunate Ms. Sheehan (who does have my sympathy) camped out outside the Bush ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Whoopi Goldberg’s giggly/tacky menage a trois reference on The View, directed at the aforementioned 67 year-old Speaker of the House Pelosi and her thoroughly embarrassed and humiliated husband *trying to get the image out of my mind* was an embarrassment to anyone with a smidgen of intelligence and/or class. I actually felt sorry for Nancy although it’s hard to believe someone would just sit there and grin like an idiot and not respond. Whoopi did show a little class this week (at least when she speaks her mind it is based on some semblance of reality) saying that Al Sharpton (what about Jesse Jackson?) should apologize to the Duke LaCrosse players who were victims of yet another “high-tech lynching” last year in front of the whole world.

I wondered aloud months ago when someone would confront the “Blather Brothers” about that and it’s time someone did. The classless Sharpton did respond but said he didn’t have to apologize since he didn’t express an opinion about the matter. *lol*

I suppose saying that ''rich white boys'' attacked a ''black girl'' and threatening that if there weren't arrests immediately there would be no peace is not expressing an opinion. Sad because I actually like a lot of Al Sharpton in many ways but the man is obviously blinded by his own prejudices and too enamored with the attention he gets from the mainstream media.

Jon Stewart really cleaned “Christopher” Matthews clock the other day. One thing you can say about Jon, he really knows BS when he smells it. Poor “Christopher” lives in his echo chamber so much he really believes much of what he says had real substance. And the worst thing you can do to these liberal/progressive hacks is make fun of them and laugh at their ideas. Watch “Christopher” come unglued if you haven seen it before.

Here are some great quotes:
Jon Stewart: Now that seems to me to be a book about sadness. Is it not?

Jon Stewart: You don’t listen to anybody! I’m not trashing your book; I’m trashing your philosophy of life. Your book is an excellent recipe …(for sadness)

Chris Matthews: You are unbelievable. This is the book interview from hell. This is the worst interview I’ve ever had in my life. This is the worst. You are the worst. I thought you were so big, you weren’t afraid of me.

Jon Stewart: I’m not.

Chris Matthews: This book scares you. There’s something in this book you fear.

Jon Stewart: There is something in that book I fear. Like fascism.

Check it out:

Okay "Christopher", back to your corner now, son. *lol*

I’ve gone over the numerous shortcomings and misrepresentations of the man-made global warming argument, but wait’ll you hear about the court ruling in the UK concerning Al Gore’s propaganda - uh, documentary film An Inconvenient Truth! *lol* It now comes with a WARNING sticker. Oh, my! Gore STILL refuses to debate anyone on the issues and so many of his faithful still walk in lockstep to the tenets of his religion. Are these people really serious? You'd better believe the politicians and socialist/progressives are. Hang onto your wallets folks!

So much to talk about but too many people with their hands over their ears.

Don’t ask me what I want it for
(Ah Ah! Mister Wilson!)
If you don’t want to pay some more
(Ah Ah! Mister Heath!),
‘Cos I’m the Taxman,
Yeah yeah, I’m the Taxman.
Now my advice for those who die,
Declare the pennies on your eyes,
‘Cos I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.
And you’re working for no-one but me,
