The city of Denver and democrat operatives are engaged in damage control after news broke all over the internet concerning the secret warehouse detention center that was built to hold the hoards of protesters they anticipate will express their opinions a little too enthusiastically.

Club Denvo - DNC Style

This makes it all better. Air-conditioning (oh the carbon footprint!), toilet facilities, and medical assistance will be provided. They should have tons of good, healthy, progressive food available from all those parties and events that no one will be eating, so no one can complain their needs won't be met by Big Sister.

My brother lived in Denver for 18 years and, having been there many times, I can vouch for the courtesy and professionalism of the police ... but I have a feeling that these are not the law enforcement officials I've known.

I wonder how much "outside help" has been recruited ... and why? Aren't the people attending the convention just head-over-heels in love with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, the Clinton family, and Barack Obama's message of unity, hope, and change?

Maybe all those people who found out that the "free" first come first served tickets to Barack's outdoor coronation at Inveso Field come with a caveat ... donate your time and labor, comrade, or watch it on tv:

"Hey, man, I thought they were FREE?" is the common reaction from people when they find out they're required to volunteer their time ... the more tickets, the more hours they must sign up for.

Maybe a roll call vote will remind everyone of how close Hillary came to getting the nomination, especially since the media hid all the truth about Obama and his pal John Edwards until he'd all but sewn up the nomination ... and primarily through the Party elites' super-delegate vote.

It's gonna be fun.

What's up with this?

The New York Times is beginning to wonder if Obama is an empty suit. Think they're fearing a Clinton coup d'etat?

Even die-hard leftists have to admit you can't get by giving the same speech for a year and a half about hope and change, and then stuttering and flip-flopping every time a question is asked without the help of a teleprompter.

And now for Obama's "performance" last night.

Obama's supporters probably have the look of fans who just watched their team give up a two-out grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to lose 4-3.

Would I like to be a fly on the wall in the Clinton household. I can see Bill lighting up a big cigar, beating on his tom-toms, while Hillary cancels her order for a million Hillary 2112 - I Told You So t-shirts.

I've only read bits and pieces of the first face-to-face "pre-debate" forum between Barack Obama and John McCain in California before a crowd of evangelical Christians, but it is obvious that McCain wiped the floor with him.

Read it for yourself:

I followed live liberal/leftist threads while the questions were being asked and it was obvious what was going on. Most commenters were second-guessing Obama's decision to participate, complaining that Obama was getting tough questions and that McCain would get softballs (they got the same questions), and criticizing the nature of the questions being asked.

Indeed, after the event, MSNBC cut short their analysis (a sure sign they knew Obama had had his clock cleaned). Obama backers on FOX and CNN made excuses for his poor showing by saying he was tired fom his vacation, although everyone admitted McCain had "won" by a wide margin.

I'm sure had it been McCain returning from a week in Hawaii, they would have pointed out that he did so well because he was rested and refreshed.

You know that's true.

Come on. Obama paused, stuttered, considered, beat around the bushes, and punted because that's what you do when you can't really say what you believe.

Can you imagine listning to this voice, delivery and insipid comment for four years? Really! Listen to this guy for a few minutes when he's not making a speech!

Like McCain or not, he says what he believes the vast majority of the time, and much of that I have issues with. At least you know what you're dealing with.

With Obama, you get equivocation, vapidness, and outright deceit.

When asked when a baby's human rights began, Obama punted. He said he is opposed to "partial birth abortion" which is a lie. I'm waiting for his radical position on the "Born Alive" bills he so vehemently opposed in Illinois to be better publicized.

His surrogates are working overtime now to hide his position in opposing "the same state bill" that was passed in the U.S. Senate by a 98-0 vote, and to confuse facts. More on that in an upcoming post.

When asked how one confronts evil in the world, he replied "with humility".

And so on.

I'm sure people like Vladimir Putin, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong Il, Hu Jintao, Hugo Chavez, and George Clooney can't wait to sit across the table from a President Obama. If he can close the deal against Hillary Clinton and a 71 year-old white man who has bent over backwards to alienate his base.

Well I started out down a dirty road
Started out all alone
And the sun went down as I crossed the hill
And the town lit up, the world got still

I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing

Well the good ol' days may not return
And the rocks might melt and the sea may burn
