It was 22 months ago that I "jokingly" predicted that politicians would eventually realize, if they can convince people that they can tax the air they breathe, they could propose taxing COW FARTS and hardly anyone would blink an eye.

And to think some people have a habit call my warnings and predictions "fear mongering".

Well, read it and weep ... or bust out laughing.

My only question is, "What took them so long?"

Oh yeah. I forgot. Elections have consequences, and the upcoming administration will have a plethora of left-wing environmental-wackos plotting daily how to control our lives and create a world in their own disturbed image.

With the bailout of the newspaper industry along with the rest of the media (as many of us also predicted) allowing them to continue carrying their water, the move to fascism/socialism will be hard to overcome. They're laying the foundation now, and they'd just as soon shut us all up.

But we shall try - won't we?

Some of us are aware of things like this happening before - we learned history before the revisionists started to get control. They don't like that.

And people wonder how tyranny ran amuck so unopposed in the 20th Century - how no one dared open their mouths in places like Nazi Germany.

Small incremental steps, dear reader, and people refusing to see the obvious when it is right before their eyes.

Perhaps the change you wanted - maybe?

But as to the subject at hand, it makes me wonder. Without a bailout-crazy government in the dawn of the last century, how did we ever survive the demise of the buggy whip industry?

When a good time turns around
You must whip it
You will never live it down
Unless you whip it
No one gets their way
Until they whip it

I say whip it
Whip it good

The entire left has become a sit-com, hasn't it?

With regarding to taxing vegetarians, their time will indeed come.

Perhaps pedometers can be fixed on everyone to determine how far they are walking to calculate their own contributions to so-called global warming.

Of course you and I and millions others know it's not about anything but control and power and exploitation of people who are either selfish, ignorant, or naive ... or a combination of the three.

The words of Martin Niemoller back in 1945 were never so true:

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

Did you think to add Eric Hoffer's The True Believer to your reading list yet? It's not long, easy reading, you can pick it up now and then, and you only have to read a page or two to recognize the brilliance and insight of this man.
